Join the team of State Patrol Troopers and Inspectors who are dedicated to promoting highway safety and enhancing the quality of life for all Wisconsin citizens and visitors by providing professional, competent and compassionate law enforcement services.

The Wisconsin State Patrol has completed their 2008 recruitment.  The next projected date for recruitment is spring of 2009.  Successful candidates will undergo 21 weeks of basic program training at the State Patrol Academy in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Upon successful completion, applicants will be classified as either a Sate Patrol Trooper or Inspector.  You will be required to serve a two-year probationary period.

The trooper/inspector exam is a multiple choice exam that contains observation and recall; basic mathematics; analytical skills including reasoning and problem solving; interpersonal responsiveness and reliability, oral and written communications, effective work habits; ability to read and interpret complex written materials such as laws, policies and procedures.
