Transportation Moves Wisconsin - Town Hall Meetings

Transportation Moves Wisonsin Logo

Wisconsin’s transportation system directly supports our daily lives – connecting us to work, school and recreation; bringing customers to businesses; moving freight and much more. We’re proud of our state’s comprehensive transportation network, but also concerned about its future. We’re at a critical juncture in discussing the vision for the next generation of transportation.

Secretary Mark Gottlieb’s Transportation Moves Wisconsin Tour has wrapped up, with nine town hall meetings held around the state. A total of about 600 people attended these events. The Secretary heard how transportation impacts the lives of many Wisconsin residents who provided video feedback during the town hall meetings. Secretary Gottlieb wrapped up his statewide town hall meeting tour in Kenosha on May 21.

More than 60 people attended the first town hall meeting April 8 in La Crosse.

During our stop in Eau Claire on April 16, the public discussion focused on more funding for local roads, increased public transit options – especially for the elderly and disabled, and additional passenger rail service.
