Airport pre-qualification process

  1. Review each airport bid advertisement to determine qualification requirements for bidding airport construction work.
  2. Mail or fax the pre-qualification form (statement of bidder’s qualification and experience) to arrive not less than five calendar days prior to the letting. For Thursday airport bid openings, the pre-qualification must be received no later 12:00 noon, local time, on Friday two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled bid opening. Mail or fax the workload form MS Word (bidder's request to bid/current workload) for the proposed project to arrive no later than 24 hours prior to the time for opening of bids. Bidders are urged to submit this form to determine eligibility prior to preparing their bidding proposal. The short pre-qualification form will be included with the bidding documents. The bidder's request to bid/current workload form is not a qualification requirement under the state statutes.

For questions regarding pre-qualifications requirements e-mail Tom DeWinter, thomas.dewinter@dot.state.wi.us or call (608) 266-8073.

All qualification information will be considered confidential.
