Design Opportunity Day

2012 Design Opportunity Day - March 13, 2012

(WisDOT eligible, registered engineering consultant firms only)

NOI due: February 2, 2012, 3 p.m. CST

Consultant firms on the WisDOT's Roster of Eligible Engineering Consultants are invited to present their design engineering qualifications and expertise to state staff on March 13, 2012 in Madison, Wisconsin.

All firms on the WisDOT Roster of Eligible Engineering Consultants have the opportunity to complete and return the Notice of Interest Questionnaire MS Word (NOI). No full service design, construction, specialty master contracts will be awarded because of this event.

Interview information

Centralized design opportunity day interviews will be held on March 13, 2012 at:

  • Interview selections and times will be posted on February 24, 2012.
  • Register in the Marriott Hotel lobby 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. The registration table is located inside the Marriott's Ballroom entrance.
  • Provide one set of printed handout of presentation and associated handouts to the WisDOT staff at the registration table when your firm registers.
  • Firms will have access to their interview meeting rooms approximately 15 minutes prior to their scheduled interview.
  • A projection screen will be provided in each interview room. All other equipment must be supplied by the consultant.
  • Firms will have 30-minute interviews, consisting of a 20 minute presentation and 10 minutes for questions/answers.
  • Please limit your participants for presentations to a maximum of 5.
  • In your presentations and/or handout material please address:
    • What your firm considers to be its strength.
    • What changes have taken place within your firm.
    • Describe your process for utilizing DBE firms.
  • Remember this is your opportunity to market your firm and its abilities to the Department for 2012.

Lodging

Firms are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements.
