Business insurance ($500,000 minimum coverage)

A driver school shall maintain a standard liability insurance policy in the name of the school, with the minimum insurance coverage specified by department rule (not less than $500,000). Certification of business liability insurance must be filed with the department. The insurance policy shall require the insurer to notify the department not less than 30 days before the policy expires or is materially changed or cancelled.

The insurance policy must be in the name of the school or state "Doing Business As (DBA)" and the name of the school.

The department must be listed as the certificate holder or interested party as follows:
