The following third party agencies and businesses provide title, registration and/or
registration renewal services for walk-in customers. Plates or stickers are given to the customer upon completing the
transaction. Titles
are printed and mailed from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in Madison.
Third party agencies and businesses can provide these title transfer
transactions:
Issue and transfer car (AUT) and small
truck (LTK) license plates
Transfer the following plate types:
Civilian group (CVG), including firefighter, rescue squad member and
emergency medical technician
Motorcycle (CYC)
Collector (CLS)
Disabled parking (DIS)
Ducks Unlimited (DUK)
Endangered resources (END)
Firefighter (FRF)
12,000 pound farm truck (FRM)
Gold Star (GST)
University of Wisconsin higher education group (HEG)
University of Wisconsin - Madison campus (HEM)
Celebrate children (KID)
Multi-group (MGP), including freemason and Lao veteran
Military group (MLG)
Green Bay Packer (PAK)
Sesquicentennial (SES)
Wisconsin Salutes Veterans (SPT)
Wisconsin National Guard (WNG)
Veteran (VET)
Renewal transactions for all of the above plate types, plus mopeds
(MPD)
These agents may charge a maximum service
fee of $10 for a renewal transaction and $19.50 for a title
transaction. Some agents accept credit or debit cards. Others will
accept only cash, checks or money orders.
*Title transactions processed by financial institutions may be subject to a $5 DMV service fee.
