Funding for bicycle and pedestrian facilities

WisDOT takes an active role in providing financial assistance to create and improve bicycle and pedestrian facilities in Wisconsin. Ongoing and past WisDOT assistance has a major impact on the state's ability to provide safe and quality bicycling and walking options. The following document provides a summary of potential funding sources for bicycle and pedestrian projects, and information about WisDOT's role with projects since the early 1990s. Also available to download is a list of the bicycle and pedestrian projects funded from 1993 to September 2008.

Please see the individual assistance program pages for more information.
