Safe Routes to School - Walk to School Day

On October 3, 2007, join millions of children, parents, teachers and community leaders around the globe in walking to school to celebrate International Walk to School Day. 

Walk to School Day can create awareness of the obstacles that make biking and walking difficult as well as build community support to make change. Many schools and communities use the momentum from Walk to School Day to begin a Safe Routes to School Program.
