Roadside Sponsorship Program

WIS 26 - Village of Johnson Creek

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has established two roadside segments along WIS 26 in the village of Johnson Creek as a pilot for the Roadside Sponsorship Program. The department is currently accepting sponsorship proposals for this pilot. The segments and details about the segments are identified on the Segment Map. Interested parties should complete the Roadside Sponsor Proposal Application and submit to WisDOT.

Highway 26

Segment 1: 1 mile River Road to Hartwig Blvd.
Segment 2: 1 mile Hartwig Blvd. to South St.

Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT):

  • Highway 26                      15,200
  • Westbound I-94 off ramp    6,400
  • Eastbound I-94 off ramp     3,400

Once all sponsorship proposals are received, the department will open all proposals and the contract will be awarded to the most advantageous competitive proposal as determined by the department. The department may reject all proposals if the submittals are determined to be less than the estimated reasonable value to the department or not in the public interest. State Statute Chapter 84.01(36) outlines the sponsorship agreement details.

  • Proposals are due March 18, 2014.
  • Submit all proposals via email to Christa.wollenzien@dot.wi.gov.
  • Proposal opening will be March 20, 2014.
  • There is a minimum proposal of $200 per month per segment.
  • The service provider for this pilot project will be the village of Johnson Creek.
