Governor's Safety Conference

The 35th Annual Governor's Conference on Highway Safety is being held August 19-20, 2009 in Appleton at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel and Conference Center. This year's conference keynote is Bill Cordes who will focus on "Making a Difference in our Communities". It's all about YOGOWYPI (You Only Get Out What You Put In). Learn how small adjustments that you make in what you are currently doing will "make the biggest difference".

This year's pre-conference workshops (August 18) will include:

• Law Enforcement Train-the Trainer Course on Elderly Drivers
• Train-the Trainer - WisDOT Emergency Traffic Control and Scene Management Guidelines
• Traffic Safety Workshop for Driver Educators - Contact Randy Thiel at Department of Public Instruction at randall.thiel@dpi.wi.gov or 608-266-9677 for more information on registration.

Please register in advance for pre-conference workshops.

Hundreds of participants including law enforcement officers, volunteers, and safety advocates from around the state will attend.
