Governor's Safety Conference

The 34th Annual Governor's Conference on Highway Safety is being held August 20-21, 2008 in Baraboo at the Ho-Chunk Casino Convention Center. This year's conference will highlight Colonel Jim Champagne who was unable to attend last year's Conference due to a hurricane threat to Louisiana. Col. Champagne will share his insights into complex challenges we face, and also the impact that Hurricane Katrina has had on his home state. We will also have the State Patrol Reconstruction Team do a presentation on how and why crashes happen.

This year's pre-conference workshops (August 19) will include:

  • Online Driver Education: Boon or Bust?
  • Death Notification Training
  • Intersection Safety Workshop

Please see details in registration brochure.

All pre-conference workshops require advance registration.

Hundreds of participants including law enforcement officers, volunteers, and safety advocates from around the state will attend.
