Leo Frigo Bridge repair project draft executive summary released

Bridge monitoring devices installed since bridge opened in January
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay released the draft executive summary for the Leo Bridge Repair Project at a news conference held at the region office in Green Bay this morning.
The draft report addresses why the bridge sank, the repairs made to reopen it and devices that have been installed to monitor future bridge pile corrosion at various locations on the bridge. The draft summary can be found at the WisDOT website.
Additionally, it was announced the final cost for the project is now estimated at $15 million. It had been estimated to cost $18 to $20 million.
This was the final news conference for the Leo Frigo Bridge Repair Project. The complete bridge report is also being finalized. An announcement will be made when the report is completed.
