Kenosha Partnership Resource Fair set for August 18

Event will share information to help support job growth in advance of the I-94 reconstruction project.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) invites the community to attend the Kenosha Partnership Resource Fair in Kenosha County.

When:  Open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on August 18, 2007
Where:  Gateway Technical College 
            Madrigrano Auditorium 
            3520 30th Avenue 
            Kenosha, WI

This event will bring community-based organizations together to support job growth and knowledge of upcoming transportation projects.  “When the I-94 North South Corridor reconstruction begins, we want the community to be actively involved and learn about potential opportunities this project brings to the people of Kenosha,” said WisDOT Deputy Secretary Ruben Anthony.

The event will provide a one-stop opportunity to provide face-to-face contact with local agencies and community resources.  Information will be available regarding WisDOT job training opportunities for work on future construction projects.

The Kenosha Partnership Resource Fair is free and open to families.  Refreshments will be served.  The format will feature informal, walk-through displays.  Participants may come at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

The facility is wheelchair accessible.  Spanish translators will be available at the event.  Hearing impaired persons can call Wisconsin Telerelay service by dialing 711.

Deputy Secretary Anthony will be available for media interviews at 9 a.m. on August 18, 2007.
