Construction begins on I-94 project in Dunn County next week

Construction begins Monday (August 20) on a $4 million contract to make improvements to I-94 in Dunn County.

Crews from Lunda Construction will rehabilitate the eastbound and westbound lanes of six bridges spanning 6.3 miles of I-94 including:

  • I-94 over Wilson Road in Cady of St. Croix County (Group 1)
  • I-94 over Norseman Road in Cady of St. Croix County (Group 1)
  • I-94 over County Q in Lucas of Dunn County (Group 1)
  • I-94 over Valley Road in Lucas of Dunn County (Group 2)
  • I-94 over County K in Lucas/Menomonie of Dunn County (Group 2)
  • I-94 over Steward Road in Menomonie of Dunn County (Group 2)

Construction will occur in two groups. The first group will occur August 20 through October 19, 2007. The second group will occur April 7 through May 23, 2008.

Traffic on I-94 will be open to one lane in each direction throughout the work zones during construction.

Federal transportation funds will pay 100 percent of the project costs.
