Public meeting scheduled for WIS 57 in Door County

Meeting to focus on preliminary plans

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) NE Region Office in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to discuss a project to resurface portions of WIS 57 and replace storm sewer in Baileys Harbor.

The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall, located at 2392 County F, Baileys Harbor.

The proposed project will resurface approximately three miles on WIS 57 from the WIS 42 junction to County P in Institute and 1.5 miles of WIS 57 from Summit Road to County Q in Baileys Harbor.  Spot storm sewer replacement will also be completed in Baileys Harbor.  Construction is tentatively scheduled for the spring of 2009.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project.  Maps showing the proposed improvement will be on display.  WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
