WIS 169 improvements begin next week in Ashland County

Construction is scheduled to start next week on a $1.4 million contract to make improvements to WIS 169 in Ashland County.

Crews from Northeast Asphalt will mill and overlay 10.3 miles of WIS 169 between WIS 13 in Mellen and the east county line.

Construction is scheduled through September. WIS 169 will remain open to traffic with the exception of two construction operations. During those instances, traffic will be under flagging operations.

State transportation funds will pay 100 percent of the project costs.
