WIS 23 reconstruction, Lake Delton, begins Sept. 4

August 31, 2007

The reconstruction of WIS 23 in Lake Delton will begin Sept. 4.  Work will take place along a 1.25-mile stretch between the intersection of County P and US 12.  Single lane traffic in each direction will be maintained on the existing northbound lanes of WIS 23. Short-term ramp closures will occur at the WIS 23/Interstate 90 interchange.

The initial phase of the project will run until Nov. 30. The estimated spring starting date is March 17, 2008. Completion is projected for June 30, 2008.

The $4.4 million project will reconstruct WIS 23 into a four-lane urban roadway.

An informational meeting on the project will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Kay Mackesey Administration Building, 50 Wisconsin Dells Parkway South. The public is invited to attend.
