September 4, 2007
Governor Jim Doyle has approved a $4,043 project to replace the airport rotating beacon at the Necedah Airport. The Governor’s action releases $4,032 in state funds to replace the old deteriorated rotating beacon. The city of Necedah will cover the cost of installation.
According to Craig Butler, project manager with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the project will greatly enhance safety during night and low light conditions by making it easier for pilots to locate the airport.
