State suspends license of Milwaukee auto salesman

September 11, 2007

Diamond Jim’s Auto Sales, 5848 South 27 th, Milwaukee, acknowledges that an employee, James T. Letizia, knowingly submitted a fraudulent title application to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) in violation of state law. The dealership agreed to a 45-day suspension of Mr. Letizia’s salesperson’s license, effective August 15, 2007 through September 28, 2007.

Diamond Jim’s Auto Sales agrees to allow agents or employees of WisDOT to inspect all business records necessary to verify that it is in compliance with the suspension.

The agreement is part of a special order issued by David Schwarz, administrator of the state Department of Administration's Division of Hearings and Appeals. The action came as the result of an investigation by the WisDOT Division of Motor Vehicles Dealer and Agent Section. Violation of a special order is grounds for denial, suspension, or revocation of a representative license.
