WIS 13 project begins Wednesday

September 17, 2007

A $655,000 contract to make improvements to WIS 13 in Ashland County is set to begin Wednesday, September 19.

Zenith Tech of Waukesha is the contractor for the project. Crews will provide embankment stabilization to WIS 13 in Gingles. The project is adjacent to Deer Creek, which empties into the White River. Several Deer Creek flooding incidents have occurred, making this project necessary.

Construction is scheduled through September. WIS 13 will remain open to traffic with intermittent single lane closures during daylight hours.

State transportation funds will pay 100 percent of the project costs.
