Public meetings set to discuss Stoughton Road in Madison

Transportation alternatives for the US 51 corridor in Madison (Stoughton Road) will be discussed at two public information meetings held by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). 

A meeting will be held Tuesday, October 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the La Follette High School Cafeteria, 702 Pflaum Road. A formal presentation will be made at 6 p.m. A second meeting will be held Thursday, October 18, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the American Family Great Lakes Building, 302 N. Walbridge Avenue.  A formal presentation will be made at 5:30 p.m.  The meetings will present identical information.

The meetings will be conducted in an open house format. A variety of exhibits and maps will be featured and representatives from WisDOT will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. The public is encouraged to attend to examine proposed improvements and discuss any concerns they might have.
