Public meeting scheduled for Marinette project

Hall Avenue meeting to focus on conceptual design alternatives.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Regional Office in Green Bay is
announcing a public information meeting to discuss the reconstruction of Hall Avenue (WIS 64) in
the city of Marinette. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17,
2007 at the Best Western Riverfront Inn, 1821 Riverside Avenue, Marinette. A short
presentation will be made at 5:15 p.m.
The proposed project consists of reconstructing Hall Avenue from Roosevelt Road to State Street. Improvements include replacing deteriorating pavement and reconstructing the Roosevelt Road/WIS 180 intersection to improve safety and traffic operations. Additional improvements include storm sewer and street lighting replacement. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in the spring of 2010.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvements will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
