WisDOT schedules I-39 southbound/US 10 exit ramp information meeting

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss the reconstruction of the I-39 southbound exit ramp at the interchange with US 10, in the city of Stevens Point. Local officials, property owners and other parties interested are encouraged to attend.

The meeting is scheduled to take place in the Lincoln Center, 1519 Water Street, Stevens Point, on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. The meeting will follow an open house format. Maps showing the proposed improvements will be on display. A brief presentation is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to present information about the preliminary design and construction schedule for the exit ramp reconstruction. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2008.

All citizens with concerns as well as those with historical knowledge, which may assist in the development of this project, are encouraged to attend and/or contact project personnel.
