One-way traffic on WIS 243 bridge in Osceola scheduled for next week

October 16, 2007

Motorists on the WIS 243 bridge in Osceola will experience one-way traffic with flagging operations on Monday, October 22, 2007 beginning at 7:30 a.m.

A stress gauge is being installed on the bridge as part of additional precautionary measures being made on deck truss bridges throughout the state. The instrument directly feeds information back to WisDOT via wireless technology as to how the bridge is performing. Any unexpected movement would be investigated immediately.

Motorists using the WIS 243 bridge in Osceola during installation should expect some congestion and delays.
