Public meeting scheduled for WIS 96 project in Little Chute

Meeting will focus on preliminary design concepts for Main Street.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) Regional Office in Green Bay and the village of Little Chute are announcing a Public Information Meeting to discuss preliminary design concepts for the reconstruction of Main Street (WIS 96) from Jackson Street to the east corporate limits of the village. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in the Community Room at the Village Hall, 108 West Main Street, Little Chute.
The meeting will include a presentation at 6 p.m., followed by an open discussion. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Wisconsin DOT and village of Little Chute staff will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
The Main Street project is currently in the initial design phase. It involves reconstructing the existing two-lane roadway. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2011. In addition, the village of Little Chute will be replacing sanitary sewer and water main in 2011 as part of a separate village project.
