WisDOT schedules Business 51 information meeting in Rothschild

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss corridor planning for the reconstruction of Business 51 from WIS 29 to I-39/US 51 in Marathon County. Local officials, property owners and other parties interested are encouraged to attend.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 30, 2007, from 4 to 6 p.m., Community Room of the Rothschild Village Hall, 211 Grand Avenue, Rothschild.

The meeting will include an informal presentation of the draft Conceptual Corridor Planning Report, which includes a conceptual four-lane expansion and environmental scan of the existing two-lane section. It also addresses general access and traffic evaluations along the entire study section.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project.  A map of the four-lane overlay will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
