South Central Avenue information meeting scheduled in Marshfield

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the city of Marshfield are conducting a public information meeting regarding the proposed improvements to South Central Avenue, between Wildwood Park and the Veterans Parkway in Marshfield.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 8, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 111 S. Maple Avenue. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format. WisDOT and city of Marshfield representatives will be available to discuss the proposed project schedule, explain exhibits, and answer questions about the proposed project.
The proposed improvement is a reconstruction of South Central Avenue from Wildwood Park to Veteran’s Parkway and includes intersection improvements and streetscape enhancements, as well as sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, pavement, curb and gutter, streetlight, and sidewalk replacement. The project is currently scheduled to begin in 2010.
Persons with a concern for, or knowledge about, historic buildings and structures and archaeological sites are encouraged to attend this meeting or provide comments to WisDOT or the city of Marshfield.
