Public information meeting scheduled for WIS 28 project in Washington County

A public information meeting is scheduled to discuss plans for improvements on WIS 28 in Washington County, announced the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). The meeting is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7 at the Village of Kewaskum Municipal Building Community Room, 204 First Street, Kewaskum.
The purpose of the meeting is to share proposed plans for rehabilitation of WIS 28 from US 45 to WIS 144. The project is in the initial stages of design; the community is encouraged to attend anytime from 4 to 7 p.m. and provide input on several important issues including:
- Safety
- Drainage
- Driveways
- Sidewalks
- Pedestrian and bicycle accommodations
- Parking restrictions
- Business and emergency vehicle access during construction
- Proposed cul-de-sac at Hickory Drive, south of WIS 28
The meeting will be an “open house” format. The project team will be available to provide information and answer questions.
