December 7, 2007
A public information meeting is scheduled to discuss proposed improvements to WIS 11 (Durand Avenue) in Racine County, announced the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). The meeting is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Village of Sturtevant Municipal Building, 2801 89th Street, Sturtevant.
“The purpose of the meeting is to share plans for resurfacing WIS 11 in the village of Sturtevant from 99th Street to 91st Street and obtain public input,” said Chris Zacharias, WisDOT project manager. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in summer 2008.
The meeting will be an "open-house" format. The community is encouraged to attend anytime from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
