State reprimands local auto salesman
December 10, 2007
In an effort to maintain his motor vehicle salesperson license, Melvin C. Akosa agrees to follow better business practices. Mr. Akosa is employed as a salesperson for O C Investments LLC, operating as Uniq Motors, 3074 E. Washington Avenue, Madison. Mr. Akosa admitted to acting as a motor vehicle dealer without a license, a violation of state law. He consented to a seven-calendar day suspension of his motor vehicle salesperson license starting Monday, December 10, 2007.
The agreement is part of a Special Order and Order Suspending License issued by David Schwarz, administrator of the state Department of Administration's Division of Hearings and Appeals. The action came as the result of an investigation by the WisDOT Division of Motor Vehicles Dealer and Agent Section. Violation of a special order is grounds for denial, suspension, or revocation of a representative license.
