WisDOT schedules WIS 47 public information meeting

Meeting will focus on overall project concepts and timeline

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting two public information meetings to discuss the planned improvements to WIS 47 between Burdick Street and WIS 29 in Outagamie and Shawano counties. The meetings will be conducted in an open house format.

Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Bonduel Village Hall
117 West Green Bay Street, Bonduel
Shawano County

Proposed improvements include pulverizing and resurfacing the roadway pavement and the addition of passing lanes. Two miles of passing lanes in Outagamie County and two miles of passing lanes in Shawano County. Additional enhancements include improving intersection turn lanes, improving intersection sight distances, and flattening roadway side slopes along the corridor where possible. The project is currently scheduled for construction in 2010.

WisDOT is seeking public input and general information about the project’s potential impacts. Real estate representatives will also be available to explain the land acquisition process.
