McCleary Bridge closures planned next week

Crews plan to close the McCleary Bridge on the following days during the week of Feb. 4:

· Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
· Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The bridge will reopen to one lane of traffic in each direction after 3 p.m. No signed detour will be provided during the closures.

Crews are repairing the bridge footing on the east side of pier number one. Next week's closures are necessary so crews can remove four girders. Once this process is completed, crews will begin removing the pier on the east half of the bridge then they will begin reconstruction of the footing.

Construction-related traffic impacts are subject to change and are dependent on favorable weather conditions.
