WIS 81 informational meeting set for February 13

February 4, 2008

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public informational meeting on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Beetown Town Hall, 7764 County U, to discuss plans for improvements to WIS 81 in Grant County.

The proposed improvements begin west of the WIS 81 intersection with County U and extend northeasterly to approximately 1,000 feet past Budworth School Road. The work includes replacing the existing pavement, adding curb and gutter, adding a box culvert and storm sewer and relocating Budworth School Road to improve safety. In addition to general project information, impacts to real estate and traffic detour routes during construction will be discussed. Construction is scheduled for 2010.

The meeting will have an informal open house format with a variety of exhibits and plans on display showing the proposed improvements. The public is encouraged to stop by the Beetown Town Hall any time between 5 and 7 p.m. to view the displays and discuss any concerns they might have regarding the proposed project with the design personnel.

Persons who are unable to attend on February 13 can contribute comments or request additional information about the proposed WIS 81 project by contacting one of the individuals listed below:
