Construction to begin March 3, 2008 on WIS 58 Overpass in Juneau County

Overpass will be closed during construction

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Regional Office in La Crosse is announcing that work will begin Monday, March 3, 2008 on 0.273 mile of WIS 58 overpass in Juneau County.

The project will consist of bridge rehabilitation including approach work.

WIS 58 will be closed to through traffic during construction. Traffic on WIS 58 will have the following detour: From the south, northbound WIS 58 traffic will follow WIS 82 east from the intersection of WIS 58/82 to I-90/94 north, to WIS 80 north (exit 61), back to WIS 58.

Lane closures on I-90/94 will be required and will occur between the hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday. There will be no lane closure operations between 7 a.m. Friday through 7 p.m. the following Monday. A minimum of one full-width lane of traffic will be maintained on I-90/94 in both directions at all times during lane closures.

The project is scheduled for completion on May 23, 2008.
