State suspends license of local auto dealer
February 28, 2008
Numerous violations result in a temporary suspension
The motor vehicle dealer license of a Milwaukee area dealership has been suspended by the
state of Wisconsin for 60 calendar days. An investigation by the Wisconsin Department of
Transportation's Division of Motor Vehicles' Dealer and Agent Section found PPNA Auto Sales LLC,
5540 West Lisbon Avenue, Milwaukee, in violation of a number of state laws.
PPNA Auto Sales did not contest that it submitted fraudulent title applications, failed to
submit title applications within seven days of a vehicle sale and failed to properly license one of
its salespeople. The dealership did not contest that it failed to sign and have its customers sign
the Wisconsin Buyers Guide. Lastly, PPNA did not enter vehicles into the motor vehicle logbook.
Wisconsin Administrative Law Judge David Schwarz of the state Department of Administration's
Division of Hearings and Appeals found that the number of unlawful transactions warranted the
suspension of PPNA Auto Sales' motor vehicle dealer's license. The suspension is effective February
1 through March 1, 2008 and April 1 through April 30, 2008.
While suspended, the dealership cannot engage in any activity that requires a motor vehicle
dealer license. Any future violations could result in the loss of the dealership's motor vehicle
dealer license. PPNA Auto Sales agrees to allow agents or employees of the WisDOT to inspect all
business records necessary to verify compliance with the Order Suspending License.
