Construction anticipated to begin March 10 on US 18 (Racine Street) in the City of Jefferson

Road will be closed during construction

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Regional Office in Madison is announcing that work is anticipated to begin March 10, 2008 on 1.7 mile stretch of US 18 (Racine Street) in the City of Jefferson.

The project will consist of road reconstruction along with new sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer and concrete pavement.

There will be a posted detour, however, the street will be open to local traffic.

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of October 17, 2008.
