Plans being developed for Woodville-Glenwood City segment
Planned improvements to I-94, from St. Croix County BB to WIS 128, will be discussed at a public information meeting scheduled by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).
The meeting will be held Thursday, March 27 at the Viking Middle School cafeteria, 500 Southside Drive, Woodville, from 5 - 7 p.m.
A brief presentation on the project will be given at 6 pm. The meeting will be organized in an open-house format with a variety of exhibits and maps available for review. Project staff will be available to answer questions throughout the evening. The public is encouraged to attend and share verbal or written comments about the project.
WisDOT plans to reconstruct the roadway and replace the existing bridges. The project will include a new pavement, roadside slope improvements and reconstruction of interchange ramps. Construction of improvements is currently not scheduled.
"One of our primary considerations is to get public input, to insure that the project is completed with minimal disruption to the citizens, the environment and the communities affected," said James Koenig, WisDOT Project Manager.
Persons unable to attend the meeting can make their comments by contacting James Koenig, project manager at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Northwest Region – Eau Claire office, 718 West Clairemont Avenue, Eau Claire, WI, 54701, e-mail james.koenig@dot.state.wi.us or phone (715) 838-8391.
The Viking Middle School cafeteria is wheelchair-accessible. Persons with hearing impairments who wish special interpreter accommodations for the meeting should contact the Wisconsin Relay System (1-800-WI-RELAY).
