This event is a collaboration between WisDOT, the I-94 North-South Labor Development Committee and state Representatives Robert Turner and Cory Mason. The purpose is to bring community-based organizations together to support job growth and knowledge of upcoming transportation projects.
“Our goal with this event is to reach out to the greater Racine communities and promote awareness of potential job opportunities on the I-94 North-South Corridor Reconstruction Project,” said WisDOT Deputy Secretary Ruben Anthony.
The event will provide a one-stop opportunity for face-to-face contact with local agencies and community resources. The format will feature informal, walk-through displays. Information will be available regarding WisDOT job training opportunities for work on future construction projects.
The Racine Partnership Resource Fair is free to attend and open to families. Participants may stop in anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Gateway Technical College is wheelchair accessible. Spanish translators will be available at the event. Citizens who are hearing-impaired and require an interpreter may request one via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dialing 711).
