Flagging operations underway in US 12 work zone, Lake Delton

April 30, 2008

Motorists should anticipate delays, seek alternate routes

Flagging operations are underway in the US 12 work zone between Baraboo and Lake Delton. Motorists should be vigilant for construction workers near the highway and anticipate lengthy delays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.  When possible, motorists should seek alternate routes.

Work began March 31 to resurface and add safety features including turn lanes to a 4.7-mile stretch of the highway, which runs past the Ho Chunk Casino near Wisconsin Dells.

Flagging operations will be in place until mid-May. One lane of traffic in each direction will be open between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
