WIS 96/Casaloma Drive intersection to partially close

May 8, 2008

Closure expected to last five days

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) NE Region Office at Green Bay is announcing the WIS 96/Casaloma Drive intersection will be partially closed for five days beginning Tuesday, May 13. While WIS 96 will remain open, the north side of the intersection with Casaloma Drive will be closed. Traffic will not be able to cross WIS 96 at this location. Additionally, traffic north of WIS 96 will be unable to access the highway from Casaloma Drive at this location. They can access WIS 96 via County GV.

The $5.1 million project includes lane widening and placing asphalt from 1000 feet east of WIS 76 to 500 feet west of Tower View Road and the reconstruction and expansion of WIS 96 to a four lane divided highway from 500 feet west of Tower View Road to Casaloma Drive. Slotted left turn lanes will be built at the intersection of Casaloma Drive, McCarthy Road, Mayflower Road, and County CB. The work began April 14 and will be completed by late November.
