State reprimands local auto dealer

July 1, 2008

Temporarily suspends numerous business licenses of one of its salespeople

In an effort to maintain its motor vehicle dealer license, Euhardys Inc., 4796 County Highway B, New London, agrees to follow better business practices. The dealership admitted that its salesperson, Robert J. Euhardy, sold multiple vehicles without executing purchase agreements and failed to provide purchasers of motor vehicles with the required title documents. Both actions are in violation of state law.

Euhardys Inc. will allow agents or employees of WisDOT to inspect all business records necessary to verify that it has discontinued these illegal practices and is in compliance with state law. Additionally, Robert J. Euhardy received a 14-calendar day suspension of his motor vehicle salesperson license, BID card and buyer's license that began June 29, 2008. This means that he shall not engage in any activity requiring one of these licenses until the suspension period has ended on July 12.

The agreements are part of a special order and order suspending license issued by David Schwarz, administrator of the state Department of Administration's Division of Hearings and Appeals. The actions came as the result of an investigation by the WisDOT Division of Motor Vehicles Dealer and Agent Section. Violation of a special order or an order suspending license is grounds for denial, suspension, or revocation of a representative license.
