Public information meeting October 7 for WIS 83 in Waukesha County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Regional Office in Waukesha is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to WIS 83 in Waukesha County. The meeting is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Kettle Moraine High School, 349 N. Oak Crest Drive, Wales, WI.
The project includes the rehabilitation of WIS 83 from Glacier Pass to Golf Road. In addition, improvements to medians, guardrails, signals and sidewalks may also be necessary.
The purpose of this meeting is to present updated project plans and obtain public feedback. The meeting will be an "open-house" format. The community is encouraged to attend anytime from 4 to 7 p.m. No formal presentation will be made.
A handout summarizing the project concepts and schedule will be provided, as well as a comment sheet that can be used for additional public input. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
