Public information meeting set October 23 and October 28 for proposed improvements to I-39/90 in Dane and Rock Counties

Two public information meetings regarding proposed improvements to Interstate 39/90 between Madison and the Illinois state line have been scheduled by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).
The meetings will be held on the following dates:
- Thursday, October 23, 2008
Marshall Middle School (cafeteria)
25 S. Pontiac Drive, Janesville - Tuesday, October 28, 2008
Edgerton Public Library (main conference room)
101 Albion Street; Edgerton
The meetings will be held in an open-house format from 4:30 to 7 p.m. There will be a brief presentation at 6 p.m. The same information will be presented at each meeting. The public is encouraged to attend, to visit with the project team and review proposed improvement proposals. Aerial photographs, location maps and other exhibits will be on display to illustrate proposed improvements to I-39/90 and the various interchanges along the corridor.
Proposed improvements include reconstruction and modernization of the existing Interstate highway, including adding a third lane in each direction and modifying interchanges to bring them up to current safety, engineering and capacity standards.
All interested persons are welcome to attend this meeting. Persons with knowledge about historical or archeological resources are encouraged to attend this meeting or provide that information to WisDOT or AECOM.
