Public information meeting November 18 for WIS 27 resurfacing/improvements in Monroe County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) Southwest Region is holding a public information meeting to discuss the WIS 27 resurfacing/spot improvement project from Austin Street, Sparta, to the Jackson County line, and resurfacing from the Soo Line Railroad bridge to just north of Averill Street, Monroe County. The project is currently scheduled for 2011.

The meeting is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at the Cataract Town Hall, 4039 County I.

Details to be discussed will include the proposed location of future passing lanes and improvements to the two existing climbing lanes and intersections. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display.  WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
