Public information meetings Nov. 18 and Dec. 4 set for US 151 (Verona Road) improvements
November 10, 2008
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is holding two public information meetings regarding proposed improvements to US 151 (Verona Road), Madison and Fitchburg.
The first meeting is Nov. 18 at the Toki Middle School gymnasium, 5606 Russett Road. The second is Dec. 4 at the Boys and Girls club gymnasium, 4705 Jenewein Road. Both meetings will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and will present identical information.
The meetings will discuss the first stage of US 151 (Verona Road) improvements being planned between Nakoma Road and County PD. Residents will be able to view models and exhibits showing planned improvements for the Verona Road interchange, the Summit (Home Depot/Cub Foods) intersection, and pedestrian and local connections.
An overview of the project will be presented in a slideshow at 6:30 p.m. for both meetings. WisDOT staff will be on hand throughout the evening to answer individual questions.
