Public information meetings scheduled Nov. 18 and 19 for WIS 24 (Forest Home Avenue) project in Milwaukee County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is announcing two public information meetings to discuss improvements to WIS 24 (Forest Home Avenue) from US 45 to 45th Street in Milwaukee County.
Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008 and Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008
5 to 7 p.m.

The purpose of the meetings is to introduce the project, present preliminary plans and obtain public input. A handout summarizing the project concepts and schedule will be provided, as well as a comment sheet that can be used for additional public input.
The meetings will be an "open-house" format. Displays will be available for review. The communities are encouraged to attend either night, anytime from 5 to 7 p.m. The same information will be presented at both meetings. The project team will be available to provide information and answer questions.
Maple Grove Elementary School is wheelchair accessible. Citizens who are hearing-impaired may request an interpreter by contacting Doug Cain by Nov. 13, 2008 via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dial 711). Persons unable to attend may send their questions or comments to:
