WIS 13 in Wood County public information meeting Jan. 29

Public invited to attend, provide comments on highway’s long-term needs

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss long-term planning and corridor preservation for WIS 13 between Wood County Z and WIS 23.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the commons area of the Adams Friendship Middle School, 1109 North Street, Adams. The meeting will follow an open house format. No formal presentations are scheduled. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the study on an individual basis.

The purpose of the WIS 13 corridor preservation study is to develop a long-range corridor management plan to preserve the safety and operations of the highway.

The public is encouraged to attend the information meeting and provide information that will assist with the development of the study. Maps and other materials describing the study will be on display. Interested citizens are encouraged to attend the meeting, visit with the study team, and review the displays.

Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, can contact Michael O’Meara at (715) 421-8313. Written comments regarding the study can be mailed to Michael O’M eara, WisDOT, 1681 Second Avenue South, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495. Citizens who are hearing-impaired and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Michael O’Meara at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay system (dial 711).
