Reminder - public meeting scheduled for WIS 15 (Hortonville bypass)

January 29, 2009

Meeting to focus on preferred alternative

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the preferred alternative for the WIS 15 from Greenville to New London in Outagamie County. This includes the Hortonville bypass. The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at Hortonville High School's Gathering Area and Auditorium, 213 Towne Drive, Hortonville. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

WisDOT announced the preferred alternative in spring 2007. Since then, NE Region staff has been doing further research regarding this alternative. This meeting is an opportunity to update the public on the project and answer questions. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, view displays, and provide input.

This project will officially map the location for the proposed improvements to the WIS 15 corridor. No construction project has been approved nor anticipated to be scheduled for several years.

Citizens interested in the project but unable to attend the meeting, or who would like more information, please contact project manager Rob Wagner at (920) 492-5983. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Rob Wagner, WisDOT-Northeast Region, P.O. BOX 28080, Green Bay, WI 54324-0080. Citizens who are hearing-impaired and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Rob Wagner at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay system (call 711).
