UPDATE - Two public meetings set for tonight in Winnebago County canceled

Winter storm expected to produce substantial snowfall

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting on final design plans for reconstructing US 41 and its interchanges from US 45 to Breezewood Lane in Winnebago County has been canceled. The meeting was scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at the Winnebago County Highway Department, 901 West County Road Y, Oshkosh.

Due to a winter storm expected to create hazardous travel conditions, WisDOT has decided to cancel the open house meeting. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Mar. 3, 2009 at the Winnebago County Highway Department from 5 to 7 p.m.

WisDOT is also canceling a public information meeting scheduled to gather comments on its draft long-range transportation plan, Connections 2030. The meeting was planned from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at the Park Plaza Hotel, One North Main, Oshkosh. The meeting will be rescheduled but the date has not yet been determined.
