Public information meeting Mar. 12 for Central Avenue reconstruction in Marshfield

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss this year’s reconstruction of Central Avenue, between South Roddis Avenue and Veterans Parkway, in the city of Marshfield.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Mar. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Common Council Chamber, Lower Level, City Hall Plaza, 630 South Central Avenue. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format. Property owners and other interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin on Mar. 23 and should be competed by the end of October 2009.

During construction, Central Avenue will be detoured via WIS 13 (Veterans Parkway). A local detour will be provided via Chestnut Avenue and Maple Avenue.
